Why I like this one

Most of my favourite days have been ones a guest invented. A grandmother who wanted to learn to cook mi quang in someone's kitchen. A family who wanted to spend an entire day on one beach and nowhere else. A photographer who wanted the fish market at five in the morning, in the dark, before the boats came in.

Tell me what you like — food, walking, temples, quiet, markets, your children's ages, how early you are willing to get up — and I will build the days around it and tell you honestly what fits and what does not.

Multi-day trips are welcome, including Hue, Phong Nha and the Central Highlands.

The plan, hour by hour

This is how the day usually runs. Nothing is fixed — if you want longer somewhere, or you'd rather skip a stop entirely, just say so on the day.

1. Step 1

   Tell me about your trip

   Your dates, how many people, the ages of any children, and what you enjoy. Two lines on WhatsApp is enough to start the conversation.

2. Step 2

   I send you a plan

   A day-by-day suggestion with timings, driving distances and a clear price, usually the same day. If something you have asked for does not work in that season, I will say so rather than sell it to you.

3. Step 3

   We change it together

   Move things, cut things, add a day. This part is normal and I expect it — nobody gets it right first time, including me.

4. Step 4

   I pick you up

   And on the day itself we can still change our minds. That is the whole advantage of travelling privately.
